???? Farm Manager Jeremy Stojan takes us through what happens at the end of the growing season on an urban farm at Toronto’s Fresh City Farms.

???? Even in early November, the farm was still harvesting end of season crops to deliver into the community.

???? But, the farm was also prepping fields for snow by planting a cover crop — winter rye — to hold the soil over winter.

???? Jeremy also explains that they’re always working to nourish the soil at the farm.

???? One way they’re doing this is by allowing plants to simply die back in the fields and compost in place.

????This will add much-needed organic matter back into the farm's clay-heavy soil, and feed it for next year’s crops!
