Heat-Dome gardening. How to get your vegetable garden through a heat wave

Published
Gardening often requires a bit of prior planning. With the right info and materials, you can get your vegetables (most of them) through a heat wave.
As you gain experience you will come to see a heat wave as a great opportunity to get some summer plants off to a good and strong start. It takes a bit of care and attention, but the plant can outdo what they can do if the weather is not to their liking.
Melons, corn and beans, squash, winter squash, okra and berries are some of the plants that will prosper in extra hot weather and reward you with gobs of food. All you have to do is keep enough water to them, and enough mulch and sometimes a bit of shade. You'll learn, go on, give it a try!
