1 pound carrots
6 stalks of celery
3 medium onions
2 red bell peppers
2 large tomatoes
2 medium turnips (I did not use these)
3 crushed garlic cloves
3 bay leaves
1 tsp crushed dried thyme
8 whole peppercorns
7 quarts water
