Amazing Fried Rice from Indonesia. My Nasi Goreng, made with no meat, seafood or poultry.
How to make a very basic and easy Nasi Goreng at home.
A simple fried rice recipe with Ketchup Manis, a sweet form of soy sauce and a fried egg on top.
Nasi Goreng can be made in so many ways and Indonesia has proudly claimed it as their national dish.

If you would like to add meat, seafood or poultry, just cook it off in the wok at the start with the onions, ginger and chilis, remove and add back later, but make sure you cook it properly.

************* RECIPE ********************
4 cups of cooked white, long grain rice (cook day before if you can).
1 large onion
1 Tbsp crushed ginger.
1 Tbsp Crushed chilis (hot peppers). Adjust to your taste.
1/2 cup green onions (Spring Onions).
2 Eggs to mix in rice.
1 Egg to fry and serve on top.
1/4 cup of Ketchup Manis (Sweet Soy Sauce).
1 Tbsp vegetable oil X2 for onions and eggs in rice.
Vegetable oil for frying of egg at the end.

This is a very basic base for Nasi Goreng and you can easily add to this with meat, seafood and poultry.

Please not that I used a HIGH HEAT the entire time with the wok.
