November Back Garden Update - November Garden Tour - Allotment Gardening UK 2021

Published
This is a November back garden update and garden tour. November is a cold wet month in the back garden but as this update shows there are plenty of jobs to do. In this garden tour we see the chickens, veg patch, greenhouse and summer house. Allotment Gardening in the UK in 2021 has been a great year.

In this November back garden update we see the chickens are happy with their bale of straw that keeps them entertained and clean. We also see in this garden tour that the veg patch has done well and our 'grow your own' ambitions have hopefully inspired others to reduce their plastic use with an urban garden too.

An urban garden is a great way to grow your own food for self sufficiency and to use less single use plastic. We can grow organic vegetables and enjoy eating seasonally as well as reducing our carbon footprint.

The green house in November is a good place to start salad leaves and store our Christmas potato plants. We will have plenty more growing in here in the spring ready for our allotment garden.

The summer house is a warmer building for us and we have our peppers in here. These will be prepared for the winter by pruning them. We have a video showing how we do this https://youtu.be/esaIk-AtVWo

November is a good month to start feeding the garden birds. We make our own fat balls in this video https://youtu.be/KVLOKYMH9R8
