TK-Academy: Grading & Drainage

Grading and drainage are very important aspects of project and landscape design that many of us overlook. Preparation of the ground where a new building, parking lot and landscaping will be located is critical to the success of the building project. This TK-Academy course will help you identify the differences between clearing, grubbing and stripping of the land. You will also learn how to interpret contour lines and read a grading plan, recognize grading stakes and the crucial information contained on them. This course also will help you identify all the pieces of heavy equipment you will see on a project that are involved with earthwork operations and what they are used for. This course will also discuss the different methods to address stormwater runoff.
