Yard cleanup and repair after Bomb Cyclone // Beauty And The Yard

One week after the bomb cyclone hits Northern California, our yard is left with infrastructure damage, downed limbs and scattered debris. The most pressing issue resides with the state of our swimming pool. Mud, wood chips and debris poured into our pool for 8+ hours after one of our retaining walls breached.

In this video, we provide daily updates on the cleaning of the pool. We do a large number of projects in one day to fix the infrastructure issues, clean the scattered debris, fix flowerbeds, remove approximately 3 yards of dirt from the tennis court and use our tractor to off haul dropped limbs to a burn pile.

It was a day full of accomplishments. Although we don’t want storms like this again, we learned where our weakness were and used the day to greatly improve our infrastructures. We also created additional overflow channels to help compensate water runoff during larger storms.
